ONC Alumni Kushneriuk Earns Student-Athlete Honors 04 Feb 2009 Chris Kushneriuk (RMU Photo) ONC Photo (2004) Former Ottawa-Nepean Canadians standout (2004-05) Chris Kushneriuk has earned Male Student-Athlete of the Week honors at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh. Kushneriuk is a sophomore and plays forward for the Colonials men's ice hockey squad. Kushneriuk was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Offensive Player of the Week after putting together six points in a split with Quinnipiac this past weekend. The native of Ottawa, and former third baseman with the Canadians, scored a goal and an assist in a 5-4 setback to the Bobcats in the first game of the series, then scored a goal while adding three assists in an 8-5 win in the second game of the series. On the 2008-09 campaign, Kushneriuk ranks fourth on the club with 12 points, compiling six goals and six assists. He is a business administration major and carries a 4.0 GPA
