Gagne Named to Provincial U17 All-Star Team

Ottawa Nepean Canadians right-hander Alex Gagne was named to the Ontario under-17 provincial all-star team as a 16-year-old and will face Joel-Vincent Sebastien and Alex St-Jean, both of Gatineau, who will suit up with Team Quebec.
Gagne, who doesn't turn 17 until January, opened the eyes of scouts during the recent Team Ontario training camp with his glove-popping fastball.
Sebastien is a 17-year-old shortstop with great baseball instincts. St-Jean, like Gagne, is a 16-year-old who will still be eligible at the same tournament in 2011.
