Our Program

Summer Program

ONC continues in 2010 with two teams: 16U (players born 1993, 1994, 1995) and 18U (players born 1991, 1992, 1993). We participate in the Premier Baseball League of Ontario (PBLO), the highest quality amateur baseball league in Ontario, and in selected tournaments in Canada and the USA.

As members of the PBLO, there is a 32 game league schedule for each of our divisions, with play in May and June throughout southern Ontario. League play consists of weekend games, usually double-headers on both Saturday and Sunday. Tournament play completes our busy schedule until mid-August. Tournaments are chosen with player development and quality competition in mind, while providing generous exposure for our players to university, college and professional coaches and scouts.

Hamilton Yards, located at the Nepean Sportsplex (1701 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa), is ONC's home field and is one of the best maintained fields in the Ottawa area. On location is a field house with home & visitor change rooms, public washrooms, electronic scoreboard, sound system, ample parking & spectator seating.

Fall Program

ONC runs a fall development program which operates from early September to mid-October. Play is tournament and exhibition based, and is less formal than the summer season.

Focus is on development & preparation for the next season as new players are exposed to ONC and others move into new roles.

Winter Program

Batting CageONC runs a Winter Training Camp from mid-January to early April for players 14 yrs to 18 yrs looking to advance their baseball development and take their game toward an elite level with experienced top-level coaches/instructors.

A comprehensive instructional program is conducted at indoor facilities, including conditioning, full baseball skills & drills, and live hitting in a full size enclosed batting cage. This allows coaches & instructors to properly assess player's strengths and assist in areas that require development to play at the top level.
